Jeffrey Horwitz, M.D., FACS
|
Jeffrey R. Horwitz, M.D., M.P.H. grew up in Houston, Texas. He is board certified in pediatric surgery, general surgery and surgical critical care. Dr. Horwitz received his undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Texas. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed a general surgical residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He returned to Houston for a fellowship in surgical critical care and E.C.M.O. at the University of Texas Medical School. He then moved to New Haven, CT. where he completed a fellowship in pediatric surgery at Yale University. His interests include correction of congenital anomalies and the use of minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Horwitz is a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Surgeons, the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group, the Texas Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society.
He and his wife, Treva, have a daughter named Aiden. He enjoys playing golf and listening to live music.
